Background information
Kathi Dye, CPA, CRFAC
Kathi received a bachelor's in business administration from the University of Texas. She has been a Certified Public Accountant for more than 35 years. Kathi is also a Certified Forensic Accountant. She has experience in many areas including government, forensic, auditing, tax, small business accounting, and personal financial planning. She currently works in municipal district accounting, forensic accounting, tax and non-profit accounting services. Kathi is a member of the AICPA, TSCPA, Plano Metro Rotary and Plano Chamber of Commerce.
Kathi has three grown children and two precious granddaughters. She is very active in the community and volunteering her time. Kathi enjoys the outdoors with swimming, hiking, biking and running/walking. She enjoys getting together with friends and traveling, especially to Seattle and Colorado to visit family.
Kerry Tovery, CPA
Kerry received her Bachelor of Science - Accounting from the University of Texas, Dallas. She is a licensed CPA within the State of Texas. Kerry has more than 30 years of expertise in accounting, including more than 20 years of management. Kerry has worked as a Job Cost Accountant, Controller, Tax Manager and in governmental accounting. Kerry is a member of the Plano CPA group, AICPA and the TSCPA. She enjoys working with the municipal district consultants and boards to help make the financial decisions. Kerry also works well with small business owners and developing a plan for them to achieve their goals and to minimize tax liability and to maximize profits.
Kerry has a wonderful supportive husband and three college-age children and enjoys watching them grow into lovely adults. In her spare time, she enjoys maintaining her garden, cross stitch, crochet, nature walks and loves to travel.
Debbie Trautmann
Debbie started with the firm over 20 years ago. She manages office administration and has full-service bookkeeping responsibilities for our clients. She has over 30 years of experience as an executive assistant with twelve years of commercial property management. Debbie is the office guru, anything we need she will get it done for us. She is amazing in her ability to keep things in order and accomplish many tasks at once. We depend on Debbie to keep all the deadlines, records and scheduling. If you are unsure of who to contact, she will know right away.
She enjoys spending time with her husband of over 40 years, two adult children and her Cairn Terrier pup. Some of her interests include genealogy, gardening and cycling.
Brandi Galindo, EA
Brandi earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Western International University and her Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Phoenix. Brandi is an Enrolled Agent, a federally authorized tax advisor, who is proficient in all areas of tax preparation, empowered by the U.S. Dept of Treasury. Brandi, previously held positions as Controller for a small business home health and a non-profit children’s home, bringing 12 years of experience, including small business accounting, revenue cycle management, tax planning and preparation, and non-profit accounting. In 2018 Brandi joined Dye & Tovery, LLC. where her experience has expanded to governmental accounting. She is extremely detailed, loves meeting with the boards and doing research on special projects. Brandi is a CPA candidate and is currently studying for the exam. Brandi's ability to solve problems and navigate the computer has been a great asset to our firm.
Brandi is a military and State Trooper's wife and values any time she can spend and create memories with her husband. She has a daughter that attends college in Maine and three young boys at home. She enjoys reading, crafting and being involved with her children’s activities and puzzles.
Kathleen Martinez
Kathleen joined Dye & Tovery the beginning of 2020 right before the shutdown. She was able to navigate the new job as well as the pandemic related family issues. Kathleen currently works on the district municipal accounting. Kathleen brings over 25 years of experience, including governmental accounting expertise in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, monthly financial statements, and three years of contract management experience. Kathleen is knowledgeable in the financial process of governmental accounting, bond process, and investment opportunities of governmental entities. She takes great pride in the presentation of her reports and is a great value to our firm.
Kathleen enjoys spending time with her husband and seven children, ranging in age of adult to pre-kindergarten. She is a lover of animals, and they currently have four dogs, six frogs and a snake. She and her husband also foster dogs and home-school their small children. Kathleen is very active, and she and her husband currently compete on the Mexico team for dodgeball, while one of her son's compete for the USA.
Stefani Chastain
Stefani joins Dye & Tovery with over 30 years of progressive accounting experience. While most of her career was sent in the automotive business, she has served as GL Director and Accounting Client Specialist in the HOA/Property Management Industry for the last 9 years. Stefani currently works with our District Municipal Accounting, and she enjoys working with the board of directors and its day-to-day operations. We are very pleased to have Stefani on board with Dye & Tovery and look forward to a long working relationship.
Stefani enjoys cooking, sewing and traveling. Stefani and her husband are proud parents to two French Bulldogs.
Jennifer Watts
Jennifer has recently become a member of our firm. She has over 30 years of experience in accounting, included is over 10 years of accounting at the city level. Jennifer is great with keeping up with the various requests on how to present reports to developers and is a joy to work with.
She enjoys spending time with her cats and dog.
Wendy Randall
Wendy became a part of Dye & Tovery in 2024. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Master of Science in Management & Leadership from Western Governers University. She has over 25 years of accounting experience; including both Accounts Payable Manager and Senior GL Accountant while working in the HOA management industry.
Outside of work you'll find Wendy doing one of her two favorite things. Either at home spending time with family or on a trip to see another city.
Roxy Fox
Roxy joined Dye & Tovery after transitioning out of the mortgage industry. She has over 15 years of experience in administrative and executive support roles in a variety of industries. Roxy is from Alaska and loves the outdoors and adventure.
She enjoys a variety of hobbies, loves working with her hands, anything music related and traveling. She has two amazing teenagers at home that she dedicates her time to.
Julia Le
Julia is a part-time member at our firm and currently pursuing her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Accounting. She is a student member of the TSCPA and began her career in accounting with Dye & Tovery in 2023 and has quickly learned new skills and adapted to the day-to-day operations of municipal accounting. Julia enjoys learning new ideas and concepts and is always eager to take on a challenge.
Julia enjoys painting, making jewelry, and reading. She also has a cat that she loves to spoil.
